After a series of anticipation on social media, Nigerian international superstar, Burna Boy shares the long-awaited ‘Last Last‘ single. ‘Last Last‘ is the singer’s debut for 2022 and a pathway to his forthcoming 6th studio album ‘Love, Damini‘.
Since he made his reinstatement as the African Giant with the hit single ‘Ye‘ back in 2018, Burna Boy’s growth has been nothing short of an astronomical success. He returned to the game after some setbacks prior to 2018, ready to showcase his skills while having a good time, as he did on his omnivorous studio albums ‘Outside‘, ‘African Giant‘, and the Grammy-winning ‘Twice as Tall‘, emerging as one of the poster boys of Afrobeats, breaking new grounds for African music in general.
Just 5 months into the year, Burna Boy has already announced the release date of his 6th studio album ‘Love, Damini‘. Already he has given us a peek into his world with the mellifluous ‘Sungba‘ remix, led by YBNL’s latest signee, Asake. Hot off the back of his sold-out concert at the prestigious Madison Square Garden in New York City, Burna Boy delivers a new single entitled, Last Last.

The Chopstix-produced mid-tempo record sees the artist in a relaxed state as he unfolds his playful side, flowing over the mellifluous production of the track in Nigerian Pidgin English with lyrics such as, “last last everybody go chop breakfast.” In the same breath, he tells a story about his previous relationship, and how it went sour.
In the spirit of his forthcoming LP ‘Love, Damini‘, Burna Boy is ready for the next level. In fact, he’s one of the leaders of the Afrobeats’ next-level movement. Given his recent success, including the sold-out concert at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, it is clear that Burna Boy has hacked the winning formula forging ahead at the forefront of Afrobeats with total confidence.
