Nicki Minaj Responds to Allegations made by her ex-assistant using a fake account

A dubious account on Instagram accused Nicki Minaj of fraud and mismanagement of her employees.

A tweet mentioning how she fired her assistant Kate miller without proof of the accusations against her went viral, posting screenshots of DM’s and Instagram stories where the alleged assistant claimed wild things about her work and her relationship with other artists.

The account’s handle was @katemiller_7 also made other claims about Nicki’s husband, and when called out by the Barbz, Miller refused to post evidence to back up her claims due to an NDA.

Obviously, anyone would doubt the truth of such huge accusations.

She named-dropped Drake, Cardi B, Quavo, Lil Wayne, and Remy Ma.

The most shocking statement is that the assistant exposed Nicki owed the IRS 173 million since 2016 and has her 2021 tax returns to prove it, which is why Nicki Minaj rents homes.

Nicki Minaj’s current home is listed as a rental on Zillow. She also claimed that Nicki paid to boost her upcoming single “Freaky Girl” on the charts, and made allegations about Kenneth Pretty, Nicki’s husband.

Nicki swiftly dismissed the claims as dumb and called thinks that for anyone to believe it, they would also have to be dumb.

While nonchalantly getting her makeup done, she said, “Y’all, every day I learn that y’all getting dumber and dumber,” on Instagram.

She went ahead and stated:

“I am mind-blown that people are this f***ing dumb, that people are believing that I got somebody that worked for me and now they spilling tea. … It’s not even that, it’s that the tea sounds so f***ing dumb, and for a person to believe it, you would have to be dumb. It’s clearly a kid.”

Without proof and reticence to send receipts, it’s easier to believe that the person is just a fake account looking for attention instead of Nicki’s real ex-assistant.

The Kate Miller account used a profile picture of an anonymous white, blonde woman who looks more like a stock photo than an actual person.

Turns out that the real person behind the picture appeared on Twitter after she was notified of the catfishing scheme.

Her real name is Megan Bettencourt, and she clearly stated that she’s never worked for Minaj. She thanked everyone who let her know that her photo was stolen and used by a fake account and urged people worldwide to lock down their privacy settings.

She also clarified that she never had a secret life as an ex-assistant, even making light of the situation, just like Nicki, who urged people to see the silver lining.
