It is not new that Afrobeats is taking over the globe, one song at a time. African music frontiers like Burna Boy and Wizkid have continued to push the genre in various corners of the world, bagging awards, certifications, and selling out prestigious arenas in Europe, the Middle East, Australia, East Asia, and the Americas,
The global Afrobeats movement is not limited to its A-list artists. The growth of the genre is now manifesting in its new school acts, songs like CKay’s ‘Love Nwantiti‘, Rema’s ‘Calm Down‘, Fireboy DML’s ‘Peru‘, Tems’ ‘Free Mind‘ and more, have enjoyed reception from the global audience.
Oxlade’s ‘Ku Lo Sa‘ is one of the new songs in the aforementioned category. Initially introduced through a COLORS SHOW, the session has become the most viewed video on the COLORSxSTUDIO Youtube channel over the past three years, and one of the most viewed of all time amassing over 33 million views.
The new music video, directed by Director K sees Oxlade all cozy and loved up punching charming words to his love interest through his catchy lyrics: “So many reasons wey I wan dey for you my love, na you I want to retire with my love, see all the li ku ku things you do de make me no no, this distance is taking a hold of me for sure, baby come ku lo sa o (closer).”

Over the years, he has built a solid profile that counts across his numbers on digital streaming platforms and his following on social media. Thanks to his latest hit record ‘Ku Lo Sa‘ which doubles as the most successful song in his discography so far, Oxlade is gradually becoming a prominent Afrobeats figure globally.
