the award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter, and musician Timaya returns with “Get My Money Right”. Produced by Spotless, it’s the second single leading to his upcoming album Chuloverse.
“Get My Money Right” reveals Timaya’s personal milestones; “Wait til my money right / You all gon hate, but you all go dey be alright.” Timaya barks at the prospective disbelievers over smooth afrobeat production. The song is laser-sharp on his musical and financial desires, while avoiding any distractions or negative energy. The song contains his unique fusion of afropop, dancehall, hip-hop and soca music, earning him the title of “King of Afro-Soca”.
Inspired by the entrepreneurial nature of Jay-Z, Timaya recently revealed his goal of becoming the first billionaire in African entertainment, and he wants his journey to inspire the youths of Africa to believe that they can too.
