The UAE’s love for celebrating arts and culture through entertainment cannot be left out, as the New Year’s Eve show and performances across the Emirates never disappoint residents and tourists who foot their legs to the country to witness this mind-blowing and fascinating displays one could think of to ring the bell in the new year.This year, however, like previous years, different artists have lined up for some spectacular performances to welcome 2023.
So let’s look at one of the line-ups, a Dutch DJ and record producer, Armin van Buuren, who since 2001, has been hosting A State of Trance (ASOT), a weekly radio show, which is broadcast to nearly 40 million listeners in 84 countries on over 100 FM radio stations. Reports claimed that it was the radio show which brought him to stardom and helped championed his interest in trance music around the world.
We cannot ignore the fact that DJ Armin has earned many accolades. He has been ranked the number one DJ by DJ Mag a record five times, four years in a row.He also got his first nomination for a Grammy Award in 2014, for Best Dance Recording for his single “This Is What It Feels Like” featuring Trevor Guthrie, which makes him the fourth trance artist ever to receive a Grammy Award nomination.
So far, so good, this brought him recognition as one of the most famous DJs in the world.Earlier, this month, Armin made a wonderful performance during the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
As he set to return to the UAE to perform on New Year’s Eve, he reflects on his experience, and how the Middle East has been a hot spot for him.
Despite celebrating last year’s New Year’s Eve with his fans in the Middle East, this year, he will appear at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Dec. 31.
Backed by an amazing light show, the audience’s ears expect to hear the tunes of some of the EDM maestro’s classic hits such as This Is What It Feels Like and Blah Blah Blah.
The lineup of performers for this year’s event also includes international DJs Fedde Le Grand and Justus.
The Spinning Around singer, Kylie Minogue will make a welcome return to the resort, at The Palm, Dubai, after performing at its grand opening party back in 2008.
The Generations of Sudanese music talent will also come together for a vibrant celebration on December 31.
A lot will be witnessed with performances by popular singers Nada Algalaa and Taha Suliman, in addition to the hip-hop duo MarSimba Band.
The pioneering hip-hop turntablist DJ Shortkut will take the decks at Electric Pawn Shop also. Known for his finesse and eye-popping technique, he is expected to bring the house down for the New Year’s Eve concerts in Dubai.
