Bad Bunny has done it again. At just age 28, he has broken several records and achieved mind-blowing musical feats, such as his latest album, Un Verano Sin Ti, debuting at No. 1 on Billboard 200, marking the largest one-week total for a Latin music album.
Every track of the album had a spot in the Hot Latin Songs chart, even breaking Ozuna’s previous record of placing 21 songs from his 2018 album Aura, with 24 from Un Verano Sin Ti.
Now, he’s the highest grossing touring artist of 2022 grossing nearly $130 million and that’s before the second half of 2022 finishes.
The second highest touring group, which is Genesis, sits at $70 million. Other groups and artists in the top ten include Elton John, BTS, Morgan Wallen, Eric Church, Coldplay, and others.
None of them have grossed as much as Bad Bunny has in the current year.
His concert at the Hard Rock Stadium, FL, was lauded for the production. It took place in two nights and had fans chanting “Benito! Benito!” refering to the Puerto Rican’s singer real name.
The crowd’s energy reached a peak when Bad bunny was on stage, sitting on a beach chair and ready to take over.
His current tour is divided into two sections, of which the first will take place in the United States, and after two months touring throughout the states, it’ll move to the Dominican Republic and then South America.
Bad Bunny’s scheduled to visit Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Panama. He’ll also have shows in Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala.
Other artists that’ll be opening for Bad Bunny include Swedish DJ Alessandro Lindblad, better known as Alesso, and American DJ Diplo.
The World’s Hottest Tour features pyrotechnics from the beginning to the end of the show.
Bad Bunny had over 9 billion streams on Spotify, making him Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2021. He had 45 songs charting in the top 10, 118 chart entries, and 4 number one debuts.
His tour through the United States has been so impactful that Michelle Wu, Mayor of Boston, honored the Puerto Rican artist with a celebration day: Bad Bunny Day, on August 18.
His setlist includes most songs included in Un Verano Sin Ti, but he’d also be performing some of his most streamed tunes from the past two years.
Ticket prices range from $146 to $200 depending on the venue. Some of the VIP packages start at $750 and can go as high as $1750 in certain venues.
