Ahead of the release of his forthcoming album, ‘Melt My Eyez See Your Future’, Denzel Curry has released new single ‘Walkin’ and announced UK tour dates.
Released on Monday (January 24th), ‘Walkin’ is the first song taken from the Floridian rapper’s fifth studio album. On the warming track, Denzel Curry embraces elements of boom-bap, jazz and trap to create a diverse sonic scape overlaid by poetic lyrics.
Speaking of the upcoming record, he said, “I like traditional hip-hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry. So, a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album, including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on ‘TA13OO’ or ‘Imperial’ because I was going through depression and anger issues.”
Alongside the single’s release, Curry also revealed he will embark on a North American, UK and European tour, starting in April.
