Sad Girl Winter has officially arrived, and I am most definitely STILL over it. Summer Walker’s highly anticipated album ‘Still Over It’ is finally here, and I am a fan!

Lyrical dexterity: 🔥🔥🔥🔥4/5

Longevity: 3/5⏱⏱⏱ Not as classic as ‘Over It’ album but still great.

Production:🎧🎧🎧🎧 4/5

‘Still Over It’ includes great features from SZA, on ‘No Love’, Ari Lennox on ‘Unloyal’, Lil Durk on ‘Toxic’, and JT on her single ‘Ex For A Reason’, along with Cardi B and Ciara on the narration.

I will never stop saying, that Summer Walker is THAT girl! She dives into the deep end with every track exploring heartbreak and complications found in love, exemplifying this through the beautiful blend of romantic R&B sounds.

In her track ‘No Love’ featuring SZA, she expresses her regrets about an ex-lover. The vocals and beat are so addictive and intoxicating. Their vocals blend so blissfully.

Ari Lennox’s feature was unmissable. With its jazz-like, soulful tones, Summer Walker sings, “No, I ain’t sticking ‘round no more— ‘cause you just wanna play with my heart”.

The album isn’t really giving me heartbreak energy but more ‘bossed up’ energy. Like you’ve hurt me and broken me one too many times, it’s time to level up, type music. I’m very much here for it.

In an exclusive with Apple Music, Summer Walker tells us a message about her album, “Take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes. You don’t have to guess if something is love. Love is shown through actions. Stop making excuses for people who don’t show up for you. Don’t ignore the red flags. And don’t think you have to stay somewhere ‘cause you can find better — you can and you will. Don’t settle for less — you don’t deserve it and neither does your family.”

This album is not here to be anyone’s peace and came to remind us of our worth, ladies! Listen to ‘Still Over It’ below.

Anyways let me go find my nearest wall to slide down slowly.

Solid 9/10.
