It was a moment of glitz, glitter, and enchantment at the 22nd annual BET Awards held at the Microsoft Arena in Los Angeles, California. The award ceremony which celebrates Black excellence in music, culture and sports was attended by many high-profile individuals from the sphere of the entertainment industry around the globe.
Kendrick Lamar picked up two awards for the Best Hip-Hop Artist and Video of The Year. Wizkid won the award for Best Collaboration with his smash hit single ‘Essence‘ remix alongside Tems and Justin Bieber, giving Bieber his first-ever BET Award. Tems also won the Best International Act category beating the likes of Dave, Dinos, Fally Ipupa, Fireboy DML, and others.
